Terms of Use
Short, and in plain words. Wamo is an iPhone app for two people. Making an account means you agree to what is on this page. If something here is unclear, write to us and we will answer in the same plain words.
What Wamo is
Wamo is an iPhone app for two people who are in a relationship with each other. One account per person, one couple per account. It is not a counselling service, not a medical service, and not an emergency service. Nothing in it is advice, clinical or otherwise. The cycle reminder is a date you typed and a countdown from it, never a prediction to make a decision on. If you need help right now, the numbers on our support page are the right place to start.
Your account
Anyone holding your password can read everything in your account, including the part your partner cannot see.
And old enough where you live to agree to terms like these. Wamo is intended for couples and is not directed at children under 13.
One account can be in one couple at a time. That is how the whole app is built, not a setting we added.

What you write stays yours
Your answers, notes, memories, photos, lists and everything else you put into Wamo belong to you. We do not claim ownership of any of it, we do not sell it, we do not license it to anyone, and we do not use it to train AI models. We store it so the app can show it back to you and to the partner you paired with, and that is the whole of our interest in it. You can export all of it as a file at any time, and delete it at any time.
What we ask of you
Sharing an invite code is an invitation, not a claim on anyone.
Including the person you are paired with.
Or anything you do not have the right to upload.
Or to work around the access rules that keep them apart.
Take it apart to rebuild it as something else, or automate sign-ups.
An account used for any of this can be suspended or deleted. That is the whole enforcement policy.
The price
Pricing is not settled yet. If part of Wamo becomes a paid upgrade, this page will say so before that version ships, you will see the price and the terms on screen before anything is charged, and you will have to choose to pay. Nothing you have already written will be put behind a payment, and the app will not start charging you to read your own history back.
Ending it
You can unlink from your couple, delete the shared space, or delete your account, all from You, Settings, Account actions. Deleting your account removes your account and your content right away, and that cannot be undone. If one of you leaves, whoever stays keeps the history the two of you made. When the last member of a couple leaves, the couple and everything in it is deleted, which means no new partner ever inherits the answers you wrote with someone else. Export anything you want to keep before you do any of this.
What we cannot promise
Wamo is provided as it is. Both phones need an internet connection, there is no offline mode, and a save can fail. There is no guaranteed uptime, and no promise that a feature stays exactly as it is today. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose, which is what Export data is for. To the extent the law where you live allows it, Wamo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us. Some places do not allow that limit, and where they do not, it does not apply to you.
If you got Wamo from the App Store
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your copy. Apple is not responsible for the app or for support of it, and where Apple's terms conflict with these ones for that copy, Apple's terms win.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will note the new effective date here. Carrying on using the app after that means the new version applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute belongs in the courts there.
